These changes will provide a pretty significant damage increase though so Marksmanship should see a good power spike to help bring it into Tier 1/S Tier Ranks. Not much is changing for Marksmanship Hunter in 9.2 other than the historic return of tier sets and the addition of being able to wear a covenant specific-legendary and a class-specific legendary. Though Marksman has high burst, Aimed Shot is a rather long cast time if you don't have Trueshot or Streamline up causing your damage to be easily stopped with either Crowd Control or Line of Sight. Marksmanship Hunter defensive cooldowns can be somewhat lackluster due to Exhilaration having a lower heal amount, and neither Aspect of the Turtle or Exhilaration can be used while stunned. Though it lacks a stun, Scatter Shot can be very versatile in either using it to land traps or to cover DPS who can prevent your traps, or peel teammates in sticky situations. Having Binding Shot baseline helps with Marksmanship Hunter's previous issues of being able to distance themselves from melee, paired with both Bursting Shot and the honor talent High Explosive Trap makes Marksman Hunter very tricky to train.
Marksmanship Hunter has one of the strongest bursts in PvP that doesn't rely on gear or trinkets, with Double Tap giving incredible on-demand burst. Marksmanship deals extremely high burst with strong instant cast Crowd Control with Freezing Trap for easy, reliable setups, and Disengage to get either yourself in and out of the fight depending on the situation. The return of fan favorite abilities Kill Shot and Tranquilizing Shot, changes to core abilities such as Rapid Fire, and talents such as Streamline and Lock and Load, have made the spec more fluent and viable in PvP overall. In Shadowlands, Marksmanship received many quality of life changes - some small, some big - to help bring the specialization back to the limelight of Hunter PvP.
